Destroy All Humans Big Willy Unleashed Movie
Parents: Big Willy Unleashed is the kind of game that makes me wish that the ESRB had a rating between Teen and Mature. While the violence isn't realistic or imitable at all (you play an alien trying to take over the Earth), the game's object is basically to kill as many innocent people as possible. And although the violence isn't copyable, the main character's lecherous, misanthropic personality may be. There are tons of double entendres and drug jokes as well.
This third entry in the franchise, Destroy All Humans!: Big Willy Unleashed, jumps ahead 20 years to the bell-bottom-wearing ’70s and finds the two aliens still blasting and quipping their way toward world dominance. Well to be honest, it’s Pox who’s still determined to rule the global roost.
Definitely keep the younger kids away.Fans of the Destroy All Humans! Series know what to expect. So do ambivalent players who may have been intrigued by some things about the series, but found problems with it as well. If you've hoped those problems have been fixed, they haven't.Deaf and Hard of Hearing gamers should have no problems. The game features a subtitle option, which captions all speech in Big Willy Unleashed—from Pox and Crypto's mission-chatter to the exclamations of the people in the streets. There are even visual cues to compliment the sirens and auditory warnings when Crypto draws more attention to himself. It's fully accessible.
Tera Kirk grew up in a small Nebraska town called Papillion. Although she has a that affects her visual-spatial skills (among other things), she's always loved video games. Her first game system was a Commodore Vic-20, which her mom bought at a garage sale for $20. With this little computer Tera learned to write Mad Libs in BASIC, to play chess and to steal gold from Fort Knox. But then a friend introduced her to the seedy underworld of the Mario brothers and she spent her saved-up birthday and Christmas money to buy a Nintendo Entertainment System (NES).
Her mom didn't like the Nintendo at first, but The Legend of Zelda changed her mind. (When Tera got Zelda II: The Adventure of Link one Christmas, she suspected it was as much for her mother as for her).Though she graduated from in 2002 and recently learned how to find the movie theater restroom by herself, Tera still loves video games. Far from being a brain-rotting waste of time, they've helped her practice spatial skills and discover new passions. Her love of games like Kid Icarus and The Battle of Olympus led to a degree in Classical Languages and Literatures. She thinks games have a place in discussions on disability and other cultural issues, and is excited to work with the like-minded staff at GameCritics.com.

August 6, 2007 - The Destroy all Humans franchise is a pretty short lived franchise, and has only been around for about 2 years. But nonetheless, the franchise has garnered a huge following, and will soon be unleashing its 3rd and 4th entries early next year. So how did this game garner such amazing popularity?
Perhaps it's the opportunity to play as the 'badguys' who want to destroy your home planet or maybe even the cynical wit of said aliens. Maybe it's the fact that you can blow up anything and everything. And then there's the probing guns. Eww!Well, reasons aside, it looks like the Destroy All Humans franchise is here to stay, and they're proving it by releasing a third and fourth entry in the series, both due early next year. They're going to be completely separate games and chronologically follow each other.
The first game, Destroy all Humans! Big Willy Unleashed, is going to center around the aliens Crypto and Pox and a failed attempt to garner fresh brain stems using a fast food chain. However, instead of taking their losses and moving on as most humans do, these aliens decide to take their frustrations out on those puny little humans!
Instead of taking place in the peace and love era during the 60s, Destroy all Humans! Big Willy Unleashed takes place in the first half of the turbulent seventies. So this one will definitely not have the same feel or look as the previous two, but I think it's a good move to keep the story moving forward chronologically. I, for one, am really excited for when they get to the big hair eighties! Now you may be wondering about the title and, as you might imagine, the 'Big Willy Unleashed' portion of the title refers to the mascot of the fast food chain. Think Big Boy meets Satan. And would you believe it, it's also a mecca that you can use to execute your destructive purposes. Some of Big Willy's attacks include a very large belcher and laser cannon eyeballs.
There's even a flatulence attack. Imagine that! There's not too much specific to know about how this game will function differently on the PSP vs. PlayStation 2 vs. The Wii version. What we do know is that the Wii version of this title was 'built from the ground up,' so hopefully any Wii-centric facets of the game will be smoothly integrated as opposed to just tacked on.Overall, the third entry in the Destroy all Humans games looks to be shaping up rather nicely.
The Destroy All Humans franchise is pretty young, but I think with their double release early next year they're looking to prove that they're sticking around for quite some time! And like alien invasions, they don't easily go away!ByAmanda L.
