Nba 2k9 Commercial
QUOTE='streetracer67856, post: 0Doesn't 2K9 have something like the Live DNA feature as well? I thought I saw a commercial talking about live player stats or something like that./quoteYes they have the same feature. But I forgot the name of it.

While the game doesn't totally set itself apart from the competition in terms of facial features, NBA 2K9 absolutely knocks it out of the park (or arena, if we're sticking to basketball metaphors) when it comes to crowds. The fans are raucous and proactive, and they'll even wave a foam finger or two.
Heheeh I saw it in one of those youtube videos about nba 2k9.I've played the live09 demo, and they seem on the right track but nba 2k9 is just way ahead of the game, no wait they are on a whole lot different track ehehe. Cant wait for the 2k9 demo to come out and the full game! QUOTE='Lethalmind, post: 0I played both demos and I gotta say I was shocked!
Just like everyone here I expected 2K9 to be better but when I played that demo, I didn't like it. I've always liked NBA 2K better but this game look poor graphic wise and and the game didn't feel like the usual.Idk if it was just me but everything looked underdeveloped. It could be a fluke and I'll check the demo again but I didn't like what I saw. For the first time in years, I like NBA Live better/quotePoor graphics. You have got to be kidding. 2K9 graphics are amazing. The player graphics are off the charts, the players look real, they have realistic follow through shots, and personalized playing style.
Graphics being poor, not sure if u have an HDTv, but graphics are by far poor. I have been playing 2k since 2k5, though 2k7 was the first for the ps3. 2k7 was great but after comparing, it seemed to arcady to 2k8. 2k8 seemed to take a step backwards in graphics, but gameplay was improved but had minor glitches and random fouls called. After playing the demo for an hour, there are some improvements in gameplay. It literally feels like ur the in the game. Player collision are very real.
For example when going for a dunk/layup, fouls are actually called (comparing with 2k8) and depending which direction you move the right joystick, the player will try to avoid contact, and go straight in for contact. Which leads me to free throws, i do not like the fact you have to use the right joystick to shoot. I hope there is a feature to turn on motion sensor for free throws. One thing i liked about defense, was when trying to go for a steal, the player actually goes for the ball instead at just swiping at the air. A neat little feature added, was when you get blocked or block someone, you actually here like a little thump to let u know that ball has been blocked. There were some minor things i did not like about, but nothing i cant fix or get use to. The demo default camera is at angle, but that can be changed. And posting up is a bit different, it just feels different.
I am guessing its because the physics of the game have been changed (for the better), and doing low post move to go around the defender is harder. In my opinion this game made the concept of basketball being a five-man team vs. A one -man team has been instilled in it. A must buy game.As far has live 09 goes, didnt bother with it, since i have not played 08 to compare whether or not it has taken a step forward or backwards, but i am pretty sure there others on this forum who can write about that. I'm saying it didn't look up to par with the quality of previous 2K games. I liked how 2K8 looked. Things like the Celtics home court symbol in half court looked funny. Like I said it could be a fluke but when I was playing it looked very odd.
I'm going to play it again in a little while. QUOTE='faaeng, post: 0BTW, whose freakin bright idea was it at EA to advertise the hell out of Live 365 and Dynamic DNA features for NBA Live 09 only to make it a $20 add on package on PSN.-holes./quotelol right you are. They advertise it so much with no details about it and then slam it in your face like BOOM $20 or no. It's such a great feature imo but that's a steep price. Might as well just sold it with the game. Plus it's 1/3 the price of the game and that's a major turnoff considering that it probably took a lot less time to construct that idea thank to make the core game. And Noc yea I see what you mean. Court thing is odd though because this is the PS3 and there is plenty of space to work with.
I'm surprised at that but I'm sure that won't take away from 2K9 being a great game. Even so, that still sux.Say I bring the game toa friends house n wanna show him the feature. Oh well there goes atleast one less console you can transfer your downloads too.I myself dont purchase used games unless they are old games and extemely difficult to find new, but many people do.
I highly doubt they state on the box that all features advertised for this game may not be included with purchase and are available at an additional charge.I believe it to be an uneeded charge and a big F.U. From EA to gamers. I dont believe features advertised for the game in all the adds and on the box should be considered as add on content.Oh wel, Im a 2K fan anyways. Just make me even more glad that EA decided to back off and leave take two alone. I dare not think about what wouldve happened.Ohwell. I loved 2K7, skipped out on 2k8 for money reasons, and I downloaded 2K9 to mixed feelings.
The game looks poor at least the demo does for the most part. Kobe Bryant and Kevin Garnett were the only players on court that looked 'close' to their real life counterparts. It almost seems as though the game has taken a graphical hit for the sake of the animation or something (which is still stellar btw). To be honest it feels similar to 2K7 can't say better or worse, but I was so underwhelmed by the visuals.
Live just looks SO MUCH BETTER, and I just couldn't get pass that. I'll try the demo again later. I've played all three of them.

I was suprised.NBA 09 The Inside. After seeing all those video's, I just had to try the demo. Personally I thought the thought was there, however the gameplay was poor. I'm pretty sure you'll get the most out of this game as far as features and play time is concerned, but it doesn't feel like you have a lot of control.NBA Live 09.
Now I'm not a big fan of the Live series, but I've got to hand it to them, it was much better than what I had imagined. The game looks like it has improved greatly along the years. You know you'll get a lot of features (or perks as I like to call them) from EA, but even the game play looks like it has improved greatly. I must say, I was very impressed by the signature player moves, which can give you an upper hand in games if used correctly.
Pretty neat.NBA 2K9. In all honesty, if you're going to buy a Basketball game, for the gameplay itself, this is hands down the version to get. If you don't care about all the Hey-I'm-New-A-Gimmick that the other games offer and care about playing the game, this is it.
Don't even hesitate about buying it, it looks like it's well worth it. QUOTE='PingerAU, post: 0i have to say the graphic for 2k9 arnt as good as some of you's make it out to b, im playing it on a bravia hd tv thru hdmi and its jaggy as. Maybe its just the demo, but the graphics are only really impressive when they are doing a cut scene.about gameplay, i really dunno what to look for in a bball game but i noticed live 09 was easier to play than 2k9 and had a few more controller option, unless set plays are in 2k9 and i just didnt kno how to access it lol./quoteYou basically said everything I was thinking when playing the 2K9 demo.
I'm playing on a Bravia XRB 4 with HDMI cables and the jaggies are more apparent then even in 2K8. I don't know if it's just the demo or what. I've been watching trailers of the game and it looks good and don't notice any jaggies so I'm hoping it's just the demo. I haven't played the demo on my 360 yet so I can't confirm which is better looking. I'm still going to buy the game, but was hoping for better graphics.
They should have waited.Made a trailer with 2k11 footage and just blown everyone out of the water with MJ footage.Just my opinion of course. Why show 2k10 footage and barely show the star of your game?eh, better to get a commercial at the start of the Finals than nothing at all. Though I think at least mentioning Jordan being in 2K11 would've been a good idea, with the same jersey shot they're using on the website. But they're justified showing 2K10 footage with the 'This is what the rest of the league is doing right now', meaning they're sitting at home playing 2K10 instead of being in the Finals. That Jordan was most likely just a CAP at this stage, so they couldn't show anymore of him. Wait 2 weeks.Stun everyone at E3 with a great commercial starring MJ and NBA 2k11 footage.I don't believe you need to show a commercial just because its the finals.Especially when you show off old footage. I just have a bad feeling that this will confuse a lot of people who saw it just because they showed footage.and it said NBA 2k11.They need to call you to do the 2k11 commercial with MJ By the way! I just believe as a consumer it is better not to jump the gun.

Hahai would like to see another commercial air during the finals after its shown at E3. Don't know what to think about this 'commercial'. On the one hand, since 2K KNOWS it's 2K10 footage and Ronnie confirms it with a tweet, they also know that MANY people WON'T know this and think it's actually 2K11 footage. Plus the keen eye will catch Jordan. Not to mention it stirs up the whole 2K mind state and they may even grab a few more sales of 2K10 off this.
Smart business, from that p.o.v.However, my personal, initial reaction based on wanting to see footage of 2K11 and seeing the headline, here, that clearly states that it's 2K10 footage, is 'lame'. Even MJ, my fave player in ANY sport of ALL TIME (HEY, Jeff Van Gundy just said Jordan's name right after I typed MJ. Lol) being in 2K11 is not enough to stir me into buying 2K11. MJ is irrelevant to me, since he doesn't play anymore and we are MANY years away from when he retired so the thrill is gone for me.
Only new, improved and innovative game play will raise my eyebrow for another NBA2K. Come wit it, 2K, cuz ya lost me after 2K9.
All the time right out of the gates. Magic duels deck builds. Within a few days of playing easy/medium A.I. I was able to unlock enough cards to put together a really good deck or two that consistently beat Hard A.I.
